Authors in Bloom Blog Hop

Hi. It's that time of year again for the Authors in Bloom Blog Hop. It's been sunning and gorgeous in my area. I love spring. It's time for yummy treats. One of my favorite is super simple. Choose your favorite fruits, I like to do strawberry, blueberries and raspberries, prepare strawberry jello according to package directions. Place a layer of fruit at the bottom of a pyrex dish, pour jello on top and when it's done, cover the whole thing with Cool Whip.

Now, back to the blog hop.

There are multiple prizes.
Grand prize:
Ereader (Kindle or Nook) and $25 gift card (Amazon or Barnes & Noble).
Keep them both or share them to the delight of your friends!  To enter my giveaway, leave a comment, follow me on twitter, facebook or subscribe to receive email notifications from my website, ensuring you stay up to date on the next release, Ladd Fortune….coming June 2013.  Once you leave a comment, you’ll be eligible to win our grand prize!  The more sites on the hop you visit and leave a comment, the better your chances to win–so don’t miss a single one!

  1. Courtney,
I love to cook. My mom always said I was a dessert specialist, but my son would probably say I do Mexican dishes the best. Our new favorite is chicken fajitas.

  2. Hey Courtney,
The header at the top of this blog is BEAUTIFUL!! Did you design that? It's awesome.

I like to grow flowers and veggies. I have a small herb garden I can see from my front window that's my favorite place to putter. Love cooking with fresh herbs, and they're pretty easy to keep alive. :)

  3. I do veggies, mostly squash and broccoli. Other veggies I've planted haven't grown--like green beans.

No, I didn't do the whole header, I took a pre-made theme and adapted it with my blog title and tweaked the code to get it the way I wanted. There are these places online where you can buy scraps that are packaged buttons, ribbons, jewels, flowers and such, so someday I might make my own header. I don't really use my blog much anymore though.

  12. I wish I had a yard to garden in, but I love to cook! :) I am looking into canning and making jams for this coming year...it would be so much better if I could use my own fruits and veggies. Thanks!!

  13. My mom used to make essentially this same jello salad, but she also added walnuts to give it a crunch. Nice *meeting* you, Courtney. :)

  15. Spring is bloom and I love the flowers that come along with it. The warm weather, the happy people, the blossoming of roses and sunflowers. Sunflowers have to be my favorite flowers. They are so happy reaching towards the sky. Their petals are like eyelids opening wide to look upon the great blue sky above. My mother makes the best cheesy cauliflower soup that i adore in the springtime. It's thick and creamy and I could easily eat gallons of it!
    Thanks for the giveaway!
