What Do Literary Agents Want?

Every writer would love to pick the mind of a literary agent to gather info about what's hot and what's not, all the do's and dont's. Here's a link to an awesome, candid round-table discussion with four young literary agents that goes into fine detail about what they're looking for in a book and more. Very informative! Check it out. And once you get there, you'll find more agent Q & A's to jump to from there.

  1. I read that a little while ago. It was interesting to see their views on things. Of course they aren't that far off from my age, and it's odd to see people so young that are so influential, lol. Perhaps I often think I'm still too young to amount to anything but that's certainly not the case :P

  2. I'm just beginning to struggle with the midle of mine too. I know the opening and ending are fine. It's thte fear of the sagging middle that concerns me. I think I may just have written my weakest chapter. Sometimes writing is like sport. There are days when you are in top form and there are others when you are not.
